The first five years of a child’s life are the most formative, so we take our role very seriously. Choosing the right nursery is one of the most difficult decisions you have to make. We firmly understand this, having been in this position ourselves. Our philosophy is simple. We provide an environment that we would use for our own children, ensuring it is warm, safe and welcoming, well resourced and stimulating. However our most valuable resource is our team of staff. We choose our staff very carefully and ensure that they are suitably trained and qualified. Our Key Workers build positive relationships with the children and work with parents to maintain a detailed understanding of the children within their care. We recognise and value children as unique individuals and ensure that the care we offer is tailored to meet their needs. Our staff will make sure that each child thoroughly enjoys their time in Valentines Neighbourhood Nursery. We will provide you with detailed records of your child’s time in the nursery and welcome you to attend special events held at the nursery to discuss your child and his/her progress. Working in Partnership with Parents. When a child enters our nursery, a three-way relationship is formed between the parents, the staff and the child. Both parents and staff have the same interests at heart – the welfare and development of the child. We believe that it is paramount that we work in partnership together in order to give each child within our care the best possible start in life that could be hoped for. We value the fact that you are your child’s first teacher and recognise the importance and significance of your child’s early learning experiences at home. We appreciate the importance of open communication and are always interested in your suggestions, ideas and views. We will keep you well informed of your child’s progress on a day-to-day basis and through longer term progress reports and parent/nursery open evenings. By working together we can nurture our children into happy, confident learners. |
Valentines Neighbourhood Nursery has been able to come into existence due to funding assistance from the New Opportunities Fund and the Department For Education and Skills and coordinated by the Redbridge EYDCP.
As part of the Neighbourhood Nursery Initiative, we are supported by the Early Years development and Childcare Partnership and are the first Neighbourhood Nursery to open in Redbridge. Our objective simple, is to offer high quality and affordable childcare for babies and children primarily living within the Valentines Ward. However, we do have a limited number of spaces for children living in other wards.
