Our outdoor play area can be easily accessed by all of our children. Here children can play in a secure area which has been safety surfaced for their benefit. The walls have been painted with beautiful murals which enhance childrens’ learning and awareness and curiosity. Children can feel the giant underwater octopus, look at their reflections in the mirror wall and use chalk to draw or write on our chalkboard wall. A range of outdoor equipment such as scooters, cars, a trampoline, balls, skipping ropes and balancing beams is also provided to encourage physical development, gross motor skills and coordination.
	Security - is very important, which is why we have installed CCTV which is strategically positioned to ensure that children can play safely. The outdoor play area is completely enclosed with a single emergency exit. Staff will always accompany children to the outdoor play area and remain present whilst children are enjoying their outdoor play activities.
	Staff will join in with children while in the outdoor area, but will also allow children the freedom and independence to play either on their own or with other children in the area.
	We ensure the outdoor play area is available to children aged from 2 upwards at all times. Younger children are still encouraged to enjoy the play area, however have more set times built into their daily pattern.
