Our baby room is situated at the top front part of our building. Decorated in shades of yellow and lemon, the walls capture and reflect the sunlight to create a warm and comforting atmosphere. The yellow room contains a soft play area where soft toys and cosy cushions are provided by a bay of interesting fiction and non-fiction books suitable for our babies. A quiet and peaceful sleep area is also available where babies can be separated from those who do not wish to sleep. This area is opened up during the day when babies are not sleeping to ensure maximum freedom for babies in this room. A rocking chair is also available, in which many of our babies enjoy some one-to-one quality time with their carer. It can be very calming for a young child who wishes to sleep or is experiencing difficulty due to typical infant occurrences such as the appearance of a new tooth! Our baby room has an excellent range of soft toys, musical toys and instruments, cause and effect toys, mirrors, natural objects and real life everyday objects. This wide range of resources enables our babies to explore and investigate through their senses in a stimulating yet calm environment where they will feel safe, happy and secure.
